BLOCK DIAGRAM DESCRIPTION OF 120-WATT MODULE:
Description of above stages is:
» Power supply: The power supply
of the output section consists of step down transformer. The module is a
high power DC converter, having current of 7 Amps with 16V DC. The diodes
used for rectification are high current ones. The power supply is used to
drive the high power oscillator.
» Push-pull amplifier: The
oscillator section mainly consists of an amplifier, output load &
feedback network. The two amplifiers get input from the feedback
transformer. The amplifier drives the primary coil of output transformer.
Since they are in the push-pull configuration one transformer drives at a
time, the diode is incorporated in each section so as to give the bias to
one of them at a time. The amplifiers drive the output transducer, which is
connected, to the secondary of the output transformer.
» Output load: The output load is
the ceramic transducer, which gives the output in sound waves. The output
transformer is of the step-up type. The transducer has the driving voltage
of around 1500 volt at 100mA. The output transformer gives the current
feedback to drive the input transformer, which in turns gives the feedback
to the amplifier circuitry. Different output transformer is used at
different frequencies like that 25 KHz, 43 KHz, 60 KHz, etc.
» Feedback transformer: The
feedback transformer is a step-down transformer. The voltage produced by the
transformer is enough to drive the amplifiers in saturation region. The type
of feedback is incorporated is series current positive feedback. The
feedback section contains a tuning section which determines the frequency of
the oscillator thus the current fed by the output is given across the tuning
circuit. Thus the oscillating voltage is given to the amplifier, which in
turns feed the amplified wave from the transformer.
PRINCIPAL OF OPERATION:
Electrical energy from a transistorized oscillator circuit is fed at the
bottom or side of a stainless steel tank. These piezoelectric transducers
convert electrical oscillations to corresponding mechanical vibrations and
cause the tank to vibrate, resulting in intense agitation of liquid
contained in the tank, this intense disturbance in the liquid will cause to
form and collapse or implodes they release tremendous energy and produce an
intense local scrubbing action on the objects immersed in the liquid, for
cleaning. Output will be maximum at resonant frequency.
APPLICATION:
Cleaning by an ultrasonic promotes extremely high degree of soil removal at
very fast rate compared to other conventional method of cleaning, can
penetrate into the most intricate and inaccessible areas where other methods
of cleaning fail. An ultrasonic cleaning used for cleaning any product from
large machine castings, gears engine blocks to most delicate mechanism or
components like watch parts, jewelry, lenses, etc. It is equally efficient
for cleaning of metals, glass, and ceramics.
Polishing compounds buffing soaps, grinding abrasives, inks, resin, oil,
dust, scale, oxide, rust, radio active, contamination - in fact any type of
soil can be removed buy using an ultrasonic system. Mechanisms and
assemblies can be cleaned without dismantling.
